The Z06 has lower first, second and third gears. Has any one driven both the base and the Z06 enough to offer an opinion as to which is more driveable for every day daily driving? Is there much of a noticeable difference?
The Z06 has as cushy a ride as an M5, unless you hit some really big bumps.
I would rate both the z06 and regular c5 as infinitely driveable.

I have an '01 Z and my parents have a '99 vert that they got in 2000. I drove the parents vette as often as I wanted before I was able to buy my Z. As for driveability there's no difference. I thought the Z rode better (on smoothe pavement) becuase of the non-runflat tires. The Z's suspension doesn't show any harshness untill you hit uneven pavement. Then you'll know you're driving a sportscar.
I alternate days between my cars. They each have their own feel and personality (if cars can). I think of the C5 as a crusier and the Z06 as a sprinter. However, both cook along. The C5 is a little more mild mannered but can really get to speed fast when asked.
