Default 01 Z06 differences

In a quick answer what is the difference in the cars to account for the HP difference and what would it cost to do the upgrades up to 405 hp, I have found one that I like but would like to do the upgrades to 2002+ specs.

Thanks in advance

The biggest cost I would see is buying a used 02-03 cam and maybe upgrading the springs while you are at it. How many miles do you have on your car? I think the valves on the heads are a little lighter but the biggest difference is in the cam. Just check for the used 02-03 Z06 cams on the Parts For Sale/Wanted board.

Switch out the badges on the side, get the Zip-Tie and call it good.

I moved from an 01 to an 03 because of a crash and absolutely the biggest difference was traction. I had the exact same mods on both cars and the 01 would break the rears loose at will. My 03 hooks 100% better. The shocks made a huge difference.

Quite a bit of difference....
New Catalytic Converters
New air filter assembly
Removed MAF screen
New cam In fact, it’s got the highest valve lift of any camshaft ever installed in a production small-block V8, Generation I, II or III.
Hollow stem intake and exhaust valves
The exhaust stems are sodium-potassium filled.
Stiffer valve springs
Changed fuel and spark curves. This was done with slight alterations in the PCM calibration
New piston rings.
New pistons.
Better clutch, upgraded pressure plate, damper spring rate was increased and a higher quality steel wire is used also, the disc flange plate (or hub) thickness was increased by twenty percent.
Wheels are a tiny bit lighter and made by a different supplier using a new process
New brake pads with improved fade resistance.
Revised shock absorbers.
Aluminum say bar end links.

Hello,
You seem to know, all of the differences between the 01 & 02 Z06. What year did they go Titanium on the exhuast. and how much of the exhuast is Titanium.
Also, you may have seen my post "slight knocking". I recieved a couple of responses claiming it is 'piston slap". Do you agree, or is there some "exhuast" leak that everyopne is missing.
Thanks
