I wave all the time as does most vette owners is SoCal.
In Orange County they don't - it's terrible here :(
Maybe it's because there are so many of them here, you'd be constantly waving! I used to wave all the time when I was back in NY, but here they don't seem to bother :(
I use to have bikes and always did the wave. Then I met my fiance who didnt like the bike so I got wat I always wanted, a vette. She was surprised that we all wave and she thinks it is cool. I told her it is like we are in a club now and we must say hi to fellow members.
:seeya
Yup, I see the wave.
I wonder if ALL vettes wave to each other.
Does a cheVETTE wave to another cheVETTE? :lolg:
When I had my cheVETTE in high school (and yes, all my friends called it the VETTE), I used to wave all the time ... unfortunately it was always waving cars down to help me with my broken one :lolg:
I like the wave with my current VETTE much better
Gotta wave! But don't go crazy with it and wave at vettes on the other an Interstate or something. And we really shouldn't take offense when someone doesn't wave back. He might be doing something more important at that particular millisecond.
And yes, Harley guys tend to wave or 'thumbs up', and I do the same to them, if they're looking. After all, it's their 100th anniversary. And I've noticed that Harley guys often smile and point to my license plate. Cool.
I have been waving to other vettes or if i see them from the distance i will flash my lights. I have a friend who has a porsche and when ever he sees another porsche they flash their lights.
Is it against proper Corvette Etiquette to rev your engine up next to another Corvette at a red light? Would this be considered disrespectful? Do Corvettes challenge each other to duels or is this rude and simply uncalled for? Just wondering!
When I had a '72 LS5 Coupe in '73-'74 Corvette owners would acknowledge each other with the V symbol using the first two fingers of one hand. I still do it today when I past another Corvette.
This was interesting. Today I got to a four way stop sign. At the stop sign there was another corvette. They flashed me and insisted that I go first through the intersection even though the other corvette stopped first. What a nice gesture!!!!!
I always wave to every Vette I pass but lately I have seen a dramatic decrease in the return waves......it's unfortunate.
To answer your question about revving up next to another Vette..me personally I wouldn't. No matter what the year I wouldn't but that's just me. I know some people that do though. I guess to each his own.
