Really, Germany builds quality cars, when and where?
Read the Euro press and learn about all the problems with the BMWs, Audis, M-Bs, etc. Don't believe the slanted American press which constantly tells us that BMW is the utlimate driving experience and that Daimler-Chrysler can produce quality built cars. Didn't our press tell us how great Jaguars were when they kept falling apart and rusting.

I have several friends in Germany, Italy, and Spain... there idea of "build quality"? American cars...

A lot of you need to chill out. Why are you arguing with someone who takes a sample size of one or two to draw determinations about an entire population of automobiles? Most of the people on this thread are arguing for an entire fleet of cars based on owning ONE. Arguing with stupid people is like wrestling with pigs - they like it and you get dirty.
Props to the person who actually mentioned defect numbers on multiple calls
FYI - only had column lock problems on my 2002 Z06 with 15k miles :U

I've not had one problem worth mentioning on my '00 Coupe or my '03 Z06. You must have some BAAAD luck. :lol: :jester :hat :p:

In over 3 years with my 01 Z I've only had to replace the gas guage sending units.

Because GM won't built cars like the German's.
My other friends Nissan just had the motor go BANG in 30,000 miles. Guess what national back order on motors :lol: :lol: They must need a bunch.
