Got my Z06 a couple of months ago and am cotemplating a Vararam. After installation, do I need to have the engine retuned or change the onboard chip? Besides wheels and shifter I don't plan on any other mods. I have just heard that better air induction minimizes engine wear. Thanks for any help. :seeya
The computer and more specifically, the fuel mixture table, will refresh itself after you drive ther car for a while after installing the airbox. No need to do anything but DRIVE! What else could be more fun! Welcome to the forum! BTW - we are all kids here--we just have big toys! :D
Sounds like you have already caught the mod fever disease. Good luck and happy horesepower gains! Whats next? Headers? :smash: :yesnod:
Hey thanks for the info! Man you live in the prettiest part of Texas. We were there at Greenwood Farms last summer with our horses and it's sure gorgeous! :steering:

Yea, we love it here! Lots of good country roads with twisties and stretches to unwind the Z on Sunday afternoons. The lady has a couple of paints for those "slower" cruises.

I got LS1 edit tuned after the vararam. The tuner said the A/F mixtures were all of by 10%, even after the engine relearn after the Vararam install. It does make a difference. PS,what's your handicap?? I'm a 7.7
