:seeya Since I posted the thread the other day on air intakes I've gotten a few repsonses but nothing I considered acceptable; so I went to the track and asked a guy that builds his own rockets (he's got a 9 second honda conversion with 625 hp) what is the best air intake and mods. His statement startled me so I thought I would post it here and see what you guys think.
When asked about Z06 mods he stated that the only thing within reason to do is to do the K&N intake with filters and NOS, anything else is a waste of time and money. (also, he has other race cars too: Porsche, farrari, etc.).
He's from the old school (about 60 years old and originally from Germany where he maintained track cars). Is this good info or not???? :auto:

I'd say for the best intake for the money would be the zip tie mod. As for the NOS, I wouldn't recommend it, especially if you warranty is still valid.

:iagree:
You fall back into the category of Run what you bring. All venders post comparisons on how there product is better then the completion and vise versa. Why would the old guy even use a filter for a nine second run if that is all he does with his rice burner anyways.

NOS :nono: under warranty!

NOS is not for me even if out of warranty.
