Hey FLYNLO,I was told that the Kook's are very nice headers but they are not a true long tube header. They are more of a midlength header. For the price $1300 to $1200 I would spend the extra money and go with the L.G.'s.It is just a thought,if you want the Kook's I'm sure they will suit your need's.Go L.G.'s all the way! :steering:
Good ???I did do a search and found threads relating to the sale of and the fit and finish.
Outside of that, are the people that have them installed happ/satisfied with them???? Does anyone have substantiated power gains? :yesnod:
LBB99, dunnno if I confused you. I did find a few posts as to the fit and finsih.....also install ease/difficulty. My question was if anyone(Other than Nick himslf) has shown substantiated performance gains. That is all....
Thank you LittleBoyBlu99 glad to be here.Flynlo I think the install is 3 to 4 hours, but look at L.G.motorsports web site before you buy some headers, just a thought.Goodluck on the Kook's
Yes this true,If you compare the cost with the LGs there is only a few hundred dollars differance cost from the kook's.That's my only point. The kook's are great headers I almost got some for my Z. :D
Well I got my Kooks 1 3/4ths w/ cats for $1180 shipped! The LGMS were over $1800. Just not worth the difference. Yes, the headers are brand new from Kooks, and no I'll never tell how I got that pice! :jester
Wow,where did you get that price!I got mine from Lou himself for $1495.00 shipped.I'm a member of Z06vette.com he was giving discount to all members. That's cool kook's are nice, but no 1800.00 for LG's.300 bucks is worth it for me!Later
This is true,I can only see getting headers with no cat.I want the most power, sorry.
I have the Kooks with cats as well. I got a good deal too, and paid less then Cobra. Again as compared to the LGMs, all you need to purchase are $40 worth of gaskets. No need for O2 sims or anything like that. All-in-all I believe the cat-equipped LGM kit is closer to $2k, which is considerably more then the Kooks similary equipped kit.
As for the "most power" being only achievable sans cats, I would have to beg to differ. With my old FLPs I gained 3rwhp without the cats.
