Cool, hey i think i did well since the market has gone south on these C5's. Okay the bottom line is im driving home for 46 grand. I plan on dumping some cash down too, but driving out after trade for $46,000.00
They gave me $33,500.00 for the 02, their car was discounted from almost 57(on the sticker) and sold to me at $49,250.00 then you add the tax to it if i was to buy it outright, it would have been $52.500.00 ( this tax amount is a guess, i will know exactly again tomorrow, i seen it many times this afternoon but im tired from figures tonight) so as one of the other guys on here said they only taxed me on the difference between the two cars. So that really put 2 grand more into my car. so the final drive out for a 04 C/E is 46 grand thats TTL.. good or bad guys? i thought good since they aren't discounting these cars. They called me today before i got there and said, they found out in a meeting this morning that they weren't suppose to discount the 04 C/E but they would have to give me the price already quoted. OH i also get to keep my chrome Z06 wheels, I get my ext warranty back, and im calling LoJack in the morning to see if they can transfer it to the new car. because they said i could have it too. SO i felt good driving off for the final time in the Torch Red Z.. im keeping it close to me tonight so i can enjoy my final night. Thanks

Thanks Slong... so i did good?? im just thinking i did since no one seems to be discounting these cars and i caught these guys off guard i guess getting the lower price.

OH Chrome Wheels for sale for a Z06.. they are the factory size
I think $900.00 will take them, they only have maybe 300 miles on them im guessing. thanks Tony.. All9mch@aol.com

So bottom line is it cost you:

* The 2002 Z06 with 3,000 miles
* $15,750 additional cash
* Tax on $15,750
* DMV fees (title, tags) and probably a dealer document fee.

That is pretty much what we figured it would cost. Good luck with the new car. It is certainly a very nice one.

Thats exactly correct , i learned how to read you this way now..ha. sorry for the other misunderstandings.. so did i do good, or as good as i can with a low mileage car? thanks for the comments. so glad i got to tell the dealer about 0% coming tomorrow, they were dancing around because of the chance to sell more vettes now with the no interest. I was glad also to keep my 0% interest rate. anybody needing a Z06 or vette let me know, they are discounting pretty good at this place. thanks Tony......... they have at this time in Z06's 2004 QuickSilver, and a 2003 Yellow Z06.. dont worry i dont get any money back.. just trying to help my nice salesman.. they do not pressure you at all at this place.. thanks Tony

Default Re:

Again Congrats on your purchase, but I don't see where you got that car anywhere near $46,000 :nonod: :confused: When you trade a car in, all bets are off on what you really paid for it. They could make it so you got the car for $42,000 just by lowering what they give you for a trade in. I wouldn't say you got a lot of money for your 02. The bottom line is what you ended up paying out of your pocket to upgrade to the new car, if your happy with that number then that is all that matters. :smash: :thumbs: :cheers:

We all second guess ourself when we make a purchase . Even when I buy and I am in the business. A good deal is in the eye of the buyer. :seeya

Posting pics tomorrow, NOW someone tell me how to do that?

Okay racer44, their 04 C/E discounted from 57, to 49,250, i owed less than 33,500 on my 02.. lowers the 04 to 46 grand. Yeah i could have gotten maybe 38 or 39 grand for my 02 selling it outright later this year, but the hassle of the tire kickers, the Z06 wantabe owners and the advertisement. PLUS this car wont be around long for sale.. and i must be the only one who got a deal on it.. i didn't pay sticker either, thanks

Tony,
Have fun with the new one.... Now I hope you understand why I was telling how good of a deal that was on the Z16... Even though I just bought the 03, I still would have jumped on that car given a chance... Glad it did not take you long to jump on it, it probally would have been gone very soon after.. Many people that read these posts also know a great deal when it comes along, and believe me it would have been gone... You probally took a few dollars less on the trade than you should have..35 would have been fair, but if they made a mistake and sold you the z16 anyway for what they did, then you did not get hurt at all, not to mention the 0%.... Like I said Have fun!! :auto:
