no probs here except the damn thing is a money pit, once i do one thing i want to do another but hey its only money right! 5000 miles and running strong
Mine is great!!! The problem is in my eye sockets, they won't hold my eye ***** In the proper visual plane under full throttle. I have to pop them back out after after 3rd gear and 100mph in about 9secs or so.
You know what I mean!!!! :flag

Re: Any problems with your '03 Z? (Oyishdog)
I had the rear diff leak, blew 3rd gear & synchro, have slight wind noise @ the drivers window, have exhaust jingle...Beyond that, I love my car. 5,500 miles in a little over 6 months... Every day I go out to the car I think to myself that I can't believe I own a ZO6 Corvette!!!!
Warped flywheel snapped at 200 miles new - towed on flatbed to Gm dealer and replaced. Was told it's a part that the driver can't break or prevent from breaking, i.e., genuinely defective, so under warranty. I received an apology for the "you have to take it easy on the clutch" lecture and "have you just started driving a manual" when it was borught in, because the clutch did not need replacing, just the flywheel.
At 3870 miles the passenger side rim blance slid forward and scratched the rim about 120 degrees along the edge due to inadequate barbs in the weight. I'm dueling with the dealer as we speak.
Conclusion: crude car goes fast. One thumb down; one thumb up.
5 miles column lock bad didn't even get to drive it off the lot
HUD intermittent problems-bad connections in dash
popping sound comes from behind driver's seat in some situations (body tweak)
bad chrome on Z06 wheel-replaced by dealer but now has a bend in it-I wonder if they replaced with crappy aftermarket wheel
crack in bumper-repainted by dealer then they oversprayed everything.
I think that's it-More problems with dummies at dealership than anything.
1. Cracked rear right rotor
2. Leaking differential
3. Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Cars are already at the tread indicator on 3 wheels
4. Brakes squeak when coming to a redlight
5. Clutch acts strong sometimes and like it's slipping the other times
6. Radio system sucks!!!
Other than that, I love my baby to death
Radio sounds good one time you turn it on and then sounds like you are listening to the radio with a pillow over your head the next time (CD or radio). I hate to take it in.
There is a run in the paint that I haven't decided if I will make them fix.
6k miles, bought in June. Have the noise in the driver's seat (like a "thud," as if the metal compressed in and then popped out) but that is it. All else is well.
Speedy1,
just take it back to Chevy and they can reprogram with their computer. This happened to me twice but they finally figured the reprogram situation and it has never happened again. :hurray:
