Mine is driving great minus a slight brake squeak under very light braking at slow speeds. BUT, I was wondering if there is anything I should watch out for on the '03 and to hear some others experiences.
I haven't had a single problem with mine.........well, except the crappy looking stock antenna.......but I replaced that with a power one from mid-america.
Basically trouble free. Had the typical "gas gage goes haywire" problem. No other nagging issues.
As for the brake squealing, try some high speed, full ABS braking, from about 120 to about 30.....drive and let the brakes cool, do it again. I have no squeal problems, and I believe it's due to frequently hammering the brakes.
:smash:
I did explode the differential, but that was not your typical failure! :D
I LOVE MY Z06..............ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE WITH IT IS THAT I DONT USE IT ENOUGH.......BUT THEN I JUST LOVE TAKING THE CAR COVER OFF AND LOOKING AT IT.....THIS BIG BEAUTIFUL RED "FAST AND FURIOUS" CHEVY!!!!!!! WOW...LIFE IS GOOD!!!
Unfortunately, the brake squeel always shows up while pulling up to a light - somewhat embassing. It is somewhat faint and most people who have been in my car haven't noticed the noise, but it's beyond annoying to me! It seems to occur more in cold weather.

Try GM Ceramics. No squeel & little to NO DUST!!!
EASY!!!! Remove two caliper bolts Pull caliper off rotor, replace pads.
You may have to compress the caliper piston.(you can buy the tool or use a C-clamp) Reinstall!! (use locktight on the caliper bolts) :smash: :smash:
I have an issue with the gray paint coming off the nose and rear emblems. I ended up replacing them myself with 2002 black ones and leaving the 50th insert in them. They look much better now.
Hey, guys!! Did anyone read what I posted above about getting rid of the squeal? Fer chrissakes....go out there, run the car hard and hit the brakes HARD a few times. Make some DUST all at once!! You should see my rotors...heat checked so bad they look like a roadmap! But no warpage, no squeal, perfect stopping every time.
