Gremlin in the electrical system???
I have been having numerous issues with the electrical sys. On top of the lights dimming when hitting the brakes (apparently this is normal), my battery keeps getting fried(3 times in 2 years), my DIC goes dark for a couple of seconds intermittently at night (always a fun thing while highway driving) and the alternator keeps whining. The dealer insists that the alternator is working fine-anything else to check that might be putting a heavy load on the alternator? Also have a burning rubber smell going on for the past few months but can't seem to pinpoint the source. OK-I drive the car a little hard.. :blueangel:

Yes, both the lights dimming and the dash blackouts are normal problems.
Have you ever had a leaky battery? I remember reading a TSB on the noisy alternator a while back. Not sure what year car you are driving but, I think it mostly applied to early model c5's. Hope you get it fixed. Electrical problems can be a real bear to eradicate.
