You need to practice launching a car correctly. Anybody can rev a car up or just dump from idle and smoke a tire, but it takes a better driver to get max traction with little wheel spin.
So, just do a little burnout to heat the tires and then do a feathered launch.
Then again.....just smoke em up until you need new rubber. :steering:
Posted a while back with the same problem. Competition mode is not the answer to wheelspin although it may help slightly to keep the car under control. Had my best luck with AH/TC off and modulating the accelerator to prevent overspinning in first. Short shift to second (+/- 5000 rpm) and continue to control the accelerator to minimize wheelspin. If you hit it right you may be able to go to full throttle at about 5200 rpm. Third gear can tolerate full throttle generally if you don't break loose on the shift. Still need to be careful though. You may want to use Competition mode as opposed to turning the AH/TC off. TC on will shut you down completely at full throttle in 1st or 2nd. Your other option, I guess, is to do a couple of burnouts to heat up your tires, but that can get tough on your pocketbook. Gotta say though, you have to love having problems like this.
Does the spinning of the tires happen when you have it engaged?
I spin too without the Competive Feature engaged when I put the pedal to the medal. Maybe you will see less spinning with it engaged like I do. Just a thought!
