I guess we have a tendency to want to keep it totally stock like the big block '67 or '63 split window Z06 coupe we secretly wish to find in a barn unmolested with low mileage on the clock. But then you come to the realization that it should be driven and enjoyed. I, too, wished to keep it completely stock but then the CAGS just simply HAD to go. That opened the door to wanting the ram air. And just recently ordered Stingers. I just keep all the original parts so that the car can be put back to stock easily. Go for it, besides, the tweaks make it seem more personal.
:iagree: :iagree: I also keep the stock parts. Mods are half the fun to me, you learn alot and get better performance, or appearence. I see it more as a hobby (albiet an expensive one), When I sold my C4 with alot of Mods of course I lost money, but I would have lost money anyway, Cars depreciate.
I could have keep it stock and saved a bunch of meoney but each mod had alot of thought and research involved,or just looked better to me. Modding it was half the fun, driving it was the other half
I'll probably get flamed for this but I'll say it anyway.
Just remember that you need to think about how long you will (mod it) have the car. You will never get your return on your mod investment.
Even though you can take the mods off and put back on the stock (mod it alot) parts, you will lose money. So with that in mind (mod it big time) you should be able to make the decision on wether to mod (yes, just do it) it or not. Don't listen to these guys on the forum ( go crazy with the mods) because they have no idea (keep modding) what they are talking about.
Be sensible about what you want to spend (lots for mods)
