Re: Pinnacle cleaning kit (slong)
I'll let you know Steve. I just applied the second coat of Zaino Z-5. I too have what I call spider web scratches. It certainly would help if the frigin sun would burn through... :nopity
Can the Pinnacle be applied without the use of the clay bar first ?
Yes it can, but the clay bar is amazing. :yesnod: I hadn't heard of it before I joined this Forum, bought a kit, and after claying alone, I think my car look better then it did & it was new. Top that off with lotion & 2 coats of Souveran.... :D :D :D It's a beauty. The clay is really easy, go for it.
Question: I was looking at autogeek.net and saw several products and waxes to choose from Pinnacle. Need help from you or anyone else!! Which is the best one to hide those terrible swirl marks and bring a mirror image shine!!
Use the Souveran wax, it's available in this kit. It's seems like an expensive investment, but you'll be glad you got it. All the parts of this kit are important. The wax goes a long ways. :yesnod: Here is a link to the Pinnacle complete detailing wax & cleaning kit:http://www.autogeek.net/pincomdetwax1.html
Do you have to use the pinniacle paint prep first???, I asked autogeek and they said since my car was new to skip it and get an extra Crystal mist.
Do you mean the cleansing lotion? Autogeek would know best but I always use it. I think it adds depth and makes the car so squeeky clean that the wax will bond better. :seeya

But does it strip the prior wax i.e Zaino or Liquid glass???I was planning on putting it on top of these and don't want to strip them off before I put the pinnicle on. Bottom line I want to do what Jersey Jay did, but don't want to strip off the previous stuff.
The guy at auto geek was just guessing I think, as most people dont mix and match.
Gonzo

Ya, sorry it will strip it. It's like the final cleansing tool before wax. If you have a good surface, polished already then just top coat it or you'll be starting from square one.
I ordered the sizzlin' kit a few days ago. Looking forward to trying it out. I've used many other local brands, now I'll try the high end stuff and see if I notice a difference. Will try not to be biased to justify the $80 I spent.

$80? High end? Have you ever gone to the Zymol web site? If I told you they have waxes there that they sell and that they cost 100's to 1000's of dollars, then I would agree on a "high end" comment. The Pinnacle products are fairly priced and produce great results. You will feel that this ($80) was money well spent, IMO.

Ya, but at least for $1650 it's refillable for life.  It must come with a butler. :smash: http://www.zymol.com/vintage2.htm
