I haven't put mine on, and haven't been pulled over yet(And I actually live in one of NE Ohio's most notorious speed traps).
On my camaro I attached the plate to the lip of the air dam under the car, as long as you weren't to close you could see my plate, wasn't pulled over in it either.
I don't think the air dam would work very good on the Z06, the car's to low, and I think the dam is further under the car.

It may sound like a stupid law but, many cities have cameras at intersections now that can see those front plates. The cameras help in vehicle trackdowns for felony arrests and light runners. Plus any front plate states that do ticket provide revenue for cities. Most law enforcement departments don't bother with front plates unless directed to by the upper offices. But it still a good reason to stop anyone of which some have turned into felony arrests (not for no front plates). No matter how you feel don't blame the Officer as they are just doing their job. Blame the law makers and push to change the law.

I hate the law, but I put the damn thing on anyways. I like to save and spend my $ on my family. Down here in Oxnard and Ventura front plates are a big issue with law enforcement. I went to traffic school for a speeding ticket "what else" and there was this lady who hit a red light late, camera's got her and see brought the photos with her to class. The picture was clear as day with her face, entire front off auto, and a picture of the rear of the car. This gets better. My neighbor's son left his car parked in front of his house with the front plate off, and in the morning he came out to get in the car, guess what? He had a ticket for no front plate. Fix it ticket and a $68.00 fine. :eek:

Spy, There are usualy caviats. In mass we do have front and back plate law. But if you keep rolling the registration and single plate onto your new car you can still KEEP the single plate here, for now anyway. Ric

Being on the "other side" in this issue, I can say that I may have issued 10 or so tickets for no front plate in the last 9 years. All of those were in conjunction with other violations. Believe it or not, I actually work in the Ventura and Oxnard area (You can find me between Vineyard and Conejo Grade). The above post is correct regarding front plates being a bigger deal in southern california. The only benefit to me is when you get in accident or something happens to you, and you need to get the persons plate. I can't tell you how many hundreds of times this happens. However, you can get a jealous cop who feels the need make you put your plate on. Personally, it screws traffic up too much to make a stop for just a front plate. I have donuts to eat and coffee to drink :lol:

I too have my front plate on. Not by choice but rather forced to by the local metermaids at work. :eek:

He missed them. Got there to late :rolleyes: It's funny that I did see you now that you pointed yourself out in the pics. I just didn't know what you looked like. I consider it a Vette Tax....Have not got a ticket yet...When I get one I will pay it....but that plate will never see the front of my Z06 :nono: :smash:

We have a front plate law but I dont have mine on. I have not been bothered yet but I am sure its coming.
