need help choosing z06
I recently traded in my 2002 EB Z06. I got 35k for a trade. I now want another z06. I can buy my EB back for slightly more than I traded it for ( I know the dealer well), maybe $35.5 or $36k. It only has 7,000 miles on it. I was the second owner (first owner put 4k miles on it). My other option is to buy a new one from a forum vendor for a killer price (pobably $8k more with current gm rebates). This way I get a full warranty. I can afford either one but would rather spend less if it is reasonable. My questions are:
1. Is $36k a fair price for an 02 Z06 with only 7k miles on it?
2. Is it worth the extra money to buy a new one for the full warranty?

it might be a good idea to trade in your '02 with 7,000 miles for an '04 with zero miles for a killer price since an extended warranty on the '02 would probably cost you a grand or a little more and your killer price is no where near 38k.

I say new Z06 for you. It is a no brainer and a slightly better car plus warranty. You will never get a new Z06 at a better price than what you have available now for the next few months.

I'm not sure why you would want to buy your old car back at more than you sold it for. Why did you sell it if you want to buy it back anyway?

Was this a trick question? If not buy a new one. I was all set to keep my modded 99 until sometime next year and get a Z51 C6. But as the discounts keep increasing I'm on the fence again. If by this summer Z06's are discounted even deeper like close to $10K off I'll have to buy the 04 Z (hopefully a Z16 depending on how its discounted) and drive it for a few years. By then we'll all know what's up with the new Z06 and any tweaks they make to the base C6.
