Price for corner weighting and alignment? I'm in Vista, Ca, so I'd use LAPD if I get it done. I need an alignment anyway, a vacation is coming up, LAPD isn't too far away... so, how much for either/both?

What alignment specs are people using for agressive street and HPDE? I want a good balance of tire wear and handling.

That's a trade off question. What is more important, tire wear or handling? As a compromise, I would suggest something like:

Front Individual Toe: +0.05 degree
Front Sum Toe: +0.10 degree
Front Individual Caster: Max positive
Front Cross Caster: Matched
Front Individual Camber: -1.0 to -1.2 degrees
Front Cross Camber: matched
Rear Individual Toe: -0.10 degree
Rear Sum Toe: -0.20 degree
Rear Individual Camber: -0.8 to -1.0 degree
Rear Cross Camber: matched

More negative camber will help handling but hurt tire wear. Slightly more aggressive like -1.3 front, -1.0 rear may improve handling without sacrificing tire wear too much.

Thanks Subdriver! I had it aligned to these specs and it made a world of difference.

Same here. Anyone know of a shop in South Florida that can do this?

You're welcome. Glad it helped.

Sorry, no info on the South Florida/Atlanta car prep. Mine was originally done by Phoenix Performance just west of Philly.

I would search the phone book for automotive/race prep. Raising and lowering the corners of the vette is easy (just a bolt turn), so all you really need is the level scale setup. Most race shops will have this.

Takes me about an hour. Most of the time is getting the scales setup and leveled. The actual leveling part is easy, just tweak on the ride height bolts to raise/lower a corner to change the weight until you get the cross weights at 50-50.

I've never priced a corner balance, so this is a rough guess, but under $200.

Subdriver, what type of scales did you buy? Most track guys who do roundy round probably have scales also.

I am going to call PDA or IMP auto which are the same principals. I am sure they have scales.

IMP... Didn't even think of them. I would be very interested to know what they say.

I bought a set of Longacre's "cheapest" scales... which aren't cheap. What I haven't broken down and bought, but really want is the aluminum leveling ramp setup to put the scales in, vice trying to put them on tiles on my garage floor...
