Two for one..............
It's no wonder dealers are "giving" away they current stock of C5's....they will receive one C6 allocation for every two C5's they sell. This is according to my local dealer. He also told me that the new Z06 will have 600 HP! and will be offered in a convertible........

Your dealer is a moron regarding the C6 Z06.
However, of course the number of C5s they sell affects their C6 allocation, and of course that's whey they are "giving them away". They will be marking up the C6s for 3 years at least and they all want as many as they can get.

Never, ever, ever listen to what a salesperson says. In my experience, most of them are utterly clueless and just say what they think you want to hear. I was talking to a salesman about a GTO, he starts rambling on, obviously not having a clue, so I set him straight on a few facts (One example- A GTO WILL NOT out corner and/or out run a 'vette.). He stops spouting off and says,"Sounds like you've researched this car." I said, "Sounds like you haven't." Then I left.

GM has already built and sponsored in a limited quantity a 427 equipped C5. Dave Guldstrand Signature Edition
So it would be very easy to put something similiar into production and then add FI to it and we would have one Hell of a car.
