[Z06] PIAA 1100X Install Tidbits

Just completed the install with the help of a talented buddy. And while the actual mounting of the lights was straight forward, trying to tap into the purple wire was a bitch. There just isn't any slack to work with. We tried to use the provided red electrical crimper gizmo but we couldn't keep the wires in place. My buddy had a different crimper that work like a charm. Buttoned everything up and bingo - let there be light.
I'll have to wait until dark and find a wall to see how they are aimed OK. Took us just under 3 hours.
Also the instructions were a little unclear on where to cut off the switch. There is some connector a foot or two further down the run. We cut that off so all we were left with the black and white wires. The black wire was cut off at the other relay.
Why the Z didn't come with fog/driving lights is beyond me? Oh and one more thing different in a Z that a non Z C5, the Z's battery doesn't have a handle. Guess that saved 6 ounces.
