I was out running some errands this morning.. outside it was 81 degrees.
I have 400 miles on the Z and I was seeing temps as high as 230.
I am driving it fairly easy.. I don't remember temps this high on my 99...
Is this normal...
The temps do come down to about 220 or so... but stays up there for awhile..

OK... thanks... whew.. I figure the temps might be higher than usual due to the fact the engine is still new and very tight.
Just trying to make sure its not only me...
Thanks

I was up at the Corvettes on the Isthmus event in Wisconsin Dells last Saturday and had an oil temp of 241 degrees F during an afternoon scenic drive. Ambient temperatures were in the low 90s.
Yep, about right. I have a 178 degree thermostat and that seems to help the oil temp a little. Just checked - ambient 90 degree's, radiator 190 and oil 217.
