Battery Drain
Hi Everyone, This is my first posting. I have a 2001, Z06. If I leave it in the garage for 2 weeks or more I have to use a jump pack to start the engine. I have replaced the battery and still have the problem. Any suggestions. By the way I only have 3,600 miles on the car.

I have an01 with 3000 miles. New battery and I chg. with battery tender once a month. No problems. Make sure your new battery is holding a charge and able to take a charge.

Next time you drive the car, check the battery voltage at regular intervals during its two week rest and see if it drains slowly. If it does, give it a good charge (100 + mph will do it) and then disconnect the battery and check it over the same period of days.
If the battery stills drains at a near constant rate, its the battery (I have bought bad batteries before). If not, you have something draining the battery, which could be tough to find.
Check interior lights, make sure they turn off, unplug any aftermarket accessories etc.

2 weeks sounds way too short to me for the battery to lose that much charge. I frequently go 1 week without driving and have on a couple of occasions gone 2 weeks with no driving. Battery has always been perfectly fine.

I have the same problem with my 04 Z. Although mine might not drain quite as fast as you've mentioned. I can go two weeks and it will still start. But if I let it set 4 weeks it has to have a jump or have a charger on it for a while. They even had to jump it on the showroom floor when I took it for a test drive.
I posted about this problem and had several people reply that it's a common problem with these cars. Now I leave my battery tender hooked up to it if it's going to set for a while without being driven.
From what I've been told the computer in the car is the main reason for the battery drain.
