On my 2004 Coupe the wind noise on the passenger side with the roof off is deafening, raising the right side window 3/4 or more reduces it substantially, but I don't want to ride with the top off and the windows up.
I have been working on a hidden vent system that won't back feed exhaust gas (during a stop) into the cockpit to help with air flow. The little side flap on the driver side is strictly for emergency decompression at best. As soon as I have a working concept, I will be asking people for advice on how to improve. Problem right now is the amount of cutting I think I will have to do to the rear tub area. And I am not willing to cut up my baby just yet.

Anyone have a easy solution?
Uh...Shouldn't you be sitting in the driver's seat?
Nope, no solution here. Just don't leave anything loose around the cabin.
Some people have tried those little devices that hold your hatch open about an inch or so without letting it flap in the wind, but I, like others, think it looks ugly. They also make a visor that snaps on to the top of the windshield and deflects the wind a little higher for less noise. Haven't heard any reviews on that yet.
yes you can get an item from Midamerica that keeps the rear hatch open about 2 inches . . . I just tried mine last evening and it works great. Not a lot of experience but you should try one.

Don't you get that warning on the DIC that says "hatch ajar"?

You don't get the warning on the DIC because with the latches, it locks into the deck. There are no sensors on the deck lid. I got my latches from Ecklers for $75. They work very well, but they do give a "spoiler-like" look. The other thing is you have to get used to the obstruction of the blind spot if you look through the hatch window to check. But, they work great for "top off- windows up" driving. The best things about them is the fact that you don't have to yell or strain to hear what or who you're trying to listen to.
