Question on 2000 Vert vs 2001 Vert
I read a book the other day that said improvements were made to the top for the 2001 convertible...but it did not say anything about the specific improvements that were made.
Does anyone know what improvements were made to the 2001 top that would make it better than the 2001 top?

5 layer versus a 3 layer, better construction, sealing and noise reduction. Also the active handling was upgraded and made standard, I'd get the '01 if it were and option, all else being equal

The 2001 has an extra 5hp and more torque. I don't think the top would be my deciding factor in getting an 01 vs a 2000.
I just picked up a 2000 triple black six speed and am extremely happy w/ it. Big improvement vs my 94 LT-1 six speed coupe.
So the bottom line is: you can't lose either way you go.

The corners of the top was reshaped so the window would rub it when opening and closing the doors.
