Yea, you're right because the Vette is built with such quality materials. We are talking some exotic plastics in those things. I'm not hating on Vettes because I have one, but I'll say the Viper is twice the car. You can't even compare a Viper to a C4, definitely not a Camero, and not even a C5. The vette is my daily driver. The Viper is my weekend fun car. If I were to be in my Viper and see you in your C5 I guarantee the only thing that would rattle would be the plastic interior on your car from all of the extra Horsepower I have. Besides Maniac, you've probably never even been inside a Viper, so you are probably talking out your a$$.

My friend is a sales manager at a local Dodge Dealership, so yes I've ridden in one. That damn car is FAST! Not to mention New Orleans is just a few miles away, so there are plenty of exotic cars to look at. Don't take offense, the VIPER is a beautiful and fast car...............however don't talk like its the best or fastest car on the road. I have witnessed Ferraris, Porshes, Jaguars and yes even an 8 cylinder Vette blow away a Viper. Again, nice car, but don't get so offended. Also if your car hasn't began to rattle yet, JUST WAIT!
I've been in the Vipers... and it's very confining. There is very little room, that's why I said it might be hard to wave. It might also be that you were not seen. There are lots of blind spots in that car. The Vette and the Viper are in two different worlds. If someone likes options, luxury, comfort... they are liking the C5. If they like raw power, aggressive styling, and a not so common car... They are gonna want the Viper.
There are only about 16,000 Vipers manufactured... and several thousand of those have been totaled. Where as the C5 has been pushed out of the plant at a rate of 30,000 plus each year. The Vette becomes more of a common car every year.
Our Vette club has Vette/Viper get togethers every week. It's a great crowd. We have a good time swapping stories and rides. Both car are to be respected for what they bring to the table. I see lots of Vette guys that don't waves... some of the Viper guys I know say they don't do the wave thing.... Oh well... the more things change the more they stay the same....

Yea, but I'm not sure I know how to post photos. I just checked the forum instructions on how to post pics and it says I need to insert them as an attachment. However, I see at the bottom of my screen that it says I may not post attachments. I'm not sure if I need permission from a moderator or what, but if you can fill me in I'd appreciate it.

Could be the car. Could be the guy. As a new Vette owner, I've been doing my part to save the and I have to say, some people just don't get it or even snobs drive Vettes because some people just ignore me, or give me a blank stare. Whatever the case, judge the person not the car, and keep
I used to get waved at in my '97 Trans Am by vette owners all the time... and I used to wave back. Now that I got my vette, Evey type of car owner points, stares, and waves. I never had Viper owners wave though. And there are alot in this area, I saw a yellow convertable and a black/silver stripe hardtop on the way home tonight in fact, nether waved. Funny I remember this one guy who owned a electric blue Z06 I saw going to work every day for over a year... I still remember his face when I waved at him for the first time in my new vette!
