Default We're Not the Snobs; Really!

OK ya all. Was out cruising (weather finally cleared) and saw several cool cars including a number of vettes ranging from 1960-2001, a Chevy SSR, a viper, and even an AC Cobra. I waved to them all, with some even waving at me first. Of all the cars I saw, only the viper driver did not wave. I waved at him and acknowledged his car, and all he did was look away with an air of arrogance. It was a nice car though.

So us vette drivers are not on top (or perhaps not even near to the top) of the snob heap, it is the viper drivers. (This poll does not necessarily represent all viper drivers)

Long live the wave!

Mike

Viper drivers are not snobs, they are blind, thats why they drive vipers, they can not see what they are getting into.

Every car type has its snobs. You just happened to run into one with a Viper. Keep the though.

The Viper guy probably could not raise his arm to wave. There is like Zero room in those cars... he was surely lodged in place, unable to move.

Perhaps he was a double amputee (steering with his knees) and couldn't wave back. Or maybe he was just an ?ss hole.

What's wrong with a snob?

Also, if you don't have a large ego, pick your place and time in a mixed crowd and fake one sometime. You'll be amazed at the reactions.

Vipers are nice. Especially the new Mambas. But Vettes are nicer

Viper owners are not snobs. I've got a C5 vette as well and when I'm in the vette I wave at other vettes. When I'm in the Viper, I wave at other Vipers. I don't see too many other Vipers around to wave at though.

It's not the car, it's the driver, and it's all individual. I've smiled and nodded at drivers of nice looking Honda's and DSM's and had them look at me like my car was trash

Nothing you can do but just acknowledge that some folks are a*holes, regardless of what car they drive, and just move on. Life is too short

Actually, I know a viper owner, and he is really a nice guy. I, in no way, wish to suggest that all viper drivers are snobs; only the one I saw that one day (especially compared to all the drivers, of all the different kinds of cool cars, that did wave). What with some of the comments about us vette drivers being careful about not being snobs, it was interesting that the vette drivers I saw were not snobs and waved, while it was the single viper driver that did not wave (for whatever reason). I agree, the viper is some machine. But I am glad I have a vette. A 427 AC Cobra would be a nice companion car though.

I pass this one guy in a red Z06 almost every weekday, and I wave to him
every time: does he wave back? HAYL no. That turkey.

Other vettes, it's about 50/50 in this town. Other nice cars, it's close
to 100%.

The VIPER guy is just upset do to the fact that VIPERS come from the factory with such a tight suspension, that it has now started to loosen up and everything in the car has started to rattle.....................kinda' like a Camero or C4.
