What pressure are you running? I noticed that max pressure is 51 psi (wow!) and when I had the OEM runflats, I was running them at around 30 psi. However, the tire installers pumped the GS D3s up to 35-36, which I suspect is a bit high.

To those of you who have had the D3s for a while, how's the tread wear pattern at the pressure you chose?

Thanks!

I like mine at 35 front, 32 rear for summer daily driving and 32 front 30 rear for winter. If I know I'll be doing some spirited canyon carving, I'll bring the front to 36 and rear to 34.

Oh, also these are cold pressures and the tread wear is even, depending on my alignment and how many Mach II corners I take.
Great tires.

I am running 30 all the way around, much better ride than the run flats. Only about 1000 miles so far, keeping an eye on the wear issue. hawki

I am thinking of getting these when I buy new tires. I would have thought that the pressures would be the same as the run flats. So I'll and see what some others have to say. And what pressures do the Z06 guys run on their non-runflats.

Have had the GS-D3s since January 03. Running 30 psi all the way around. Running 35 at autocrosses; bleeding down after each run. Running stock suspension with F45 selective ride control. I would start at 30 and work myself up from there. Check your DIC for pressures frequently since you no longer have run-flat capabilities.

Default GSD3 inflation pressure

....big difference so far between two of you!

Stockman, the OEM runflats have incredibly-stiff sidewalls, so I'm guessing that there may need to be a difference between those and GS D3s or other non-runflats. Then again, maybe not - thanks, guys; I'm sure we'll see some more opinions.

I have about 5,000 miles n my GS-D3's and they look like new.
They seem to wear really well. Yes I do spin them and drive through turns aggressively. I run 35 in the fronts and 32 in the rears. I'd buyt then again.

I run them at 32 psi COLD and they warm up to about 36PSI HOT. If I run them hard the pressure goes to 37PSI.

Great tire. Much quieter and better handling than the runflats. Just get tire plugs, compact air compressor and a can of fix-a-flat. Store it in the hatch compartment.

I have around 7000 on mine and the wear looks real good considering I have had them balanced two times already (one bad balance and one good, different places). I run 28 psi cold which is normally 30-32 hot. Cornering is wonderful, road noise is significantly reduced, and I would definatly buy these tires again. Anyone know when Goodyear will be making these in z sizes or bigger?

32 cold all the way around for street driving and 38s all around for autox to start, then adjust from there.

Default 28-32 range

It looks like the consensus is somewhere around 28-32 psi. I'm sure that ambient temps come into play, since "cold" may mean 70 degrees or 85 degrees, depending upon where you live. I have found that with runflats, a slightly lower pressure in the rear (1-2 psi) was necessary to keep the wear even. Hey, maybe those who often drive around with a full tank of gas need a bit more in the back.

Anyway, I've reduced the fronts to 32 and the backs to 31 and will monitor the wear pattern periodicaly. The funny thing is that the tire manager told me that the installer set the pressure to "factory pressure"! Somehow, the tech thinks C5's EMTs are pumped up to 36 psi at the factory. Thanks again, everyone!

Dave,

I just checked my pressure today and set them at 34 while they were warm. You can really split hairs with this, but I think that one or two pounds either way won't make a difference to the average person and the way they drive.
