does anybody else have a noise like a rumbling sound in neutral without clutch depressed and then when you push clutch down it goes away------sounds like just the sound of input shaft turning and then pushing pushing clutch down disengages trans from engine it stops? trans works perfect hope its ok, my zr1 sounds just like it also and i know all of those do it
My Z06 doesn't make that sound but when I put an aftermarket shifter on my 99 WS6 T/A it happened. Less insulation in the Z06 shifter (?) might make the noise more noticeable, I'm guessing its normal.
That's the reason they video tells us to depress the clutch when turning off the car, it's keeps the noise from happening, I think it's the throw out bearing rattling, but not sure.

It does it to all the Zs put your worries on the column lock or the gas gauge, not on normal worries. You are all right, sit back and wait for MOD fever to start, then worry about noises. like your bank account deflating.
I have been told by my corvette specialist that works on mine, that it is refered to as "power pulses". definitly sound bad, but race cars make noises (period)
