Hey all
Just wanted to say that I took 15 minutes (really, only 15) the other day and installed my Stinger intake on my 04 Vertte. I had a Vararam on my old Vette and must say this is a much easier and cleaner install. I also think that it looks much better. Took it to the track and all else being equal I went from a best bone stock time of 13.86 @102.4 to 13.59 @104.2 with just the Stinger....no other changes
This a solid high quality kit that produced more than 2/10th's in the 1/4...all for a great price. I 100% recommend Thanks Jim and I hope you are doing well
No lean codes or any other issues. I also wanted to mention that the SOTP is improved as well. Throttle tip-in and partial throttle acceleration feel improved along with about 2mpg better fuel efficiency at highway speeds. This is the best bang for the buck out there
Installed my Stinger on my '01 LS1 Coupe. Also installed the front hood seal, the recommended cold air scoop and the VaraRam Velocity Stack. No codes to date and now have a much smoother throttle off the stop with no excessive roar from the exposed air cleaner. I do get a little idle recovery when the throttle is closed - drops to 600rpm then recovers to 800rpm in about 1 sec - no big deal, doesn't stall or anything like that. Very happy with this mod.
