I just saw this on the local news here in Amarillo on KVII. 25 local vette owners did a caravan and collected roughly 80 fans and air conditioners and donated them to the less fortunate in the area to help them deal with the heat.
Great footage of Vettes in the caravan. It turned into a small car show. I was working from my hotel room all day and had no idea! Or I guarantee I'd have found them
The coverage of the Vette owners was very flattering. I almost choked up. I was so proud of our little family

Reason: Title Change
Dozens of Corvettes roamed under the hot sun in Amarillo Saturday. Their mission? To collect air conditioners and fans for people who can't afford to cool their homes during the hot summer.
The caravan of Corvettes from the Amarillo Area Corvette Club made trips to a few local businesses hoping the makeshift car show will get people to donate fans.
They collected a total of about 80 cooling units for KVII's fan drive.
So, how many fans and air conditioners can you stuff in the back of a Corvette anyway?
