Optima battery date
If anybody knows how to read the date on an Optima Red Top would you please share that info? I am going to buy one and would like to be able to buy a recently made one. Thanks, Jim

FYI, I spoke to a Optima Rep at a car show and he recommended putting a "Smart Charger" on the battery for 30 minutes, once a year. He claimed that doing so, extended the battery life ... well, let's say, A LOT! I've had my yellow top a few months and I love it. I just hope this helps. Maybe you don't "have to" get a recent one IMHO. Hope this helps.
