[Z06] Weird clutch problem...

Weird clutch problem...
Every now and then my clutch will sort of stick to the floor when i get on it hard or the travel distance will change like it will let out very early. This happens after i stop with having my fun. Anyone else experience this?

Same Problem
I had the same problem with my 01 Z06. Chevy knows all about it. The fix is a new clutch, flywheel, pressure plate, slave cyl and master cyl. The dealer did the whole deal under warranty. It did fix the problem. I had a thread Clutch Pedal Sitcks-Fixed.

And I thought I was the only one. When the car is cool, no problems. Once it is warmed up & I try more than one or two firm shifts around 5400 rpms, the pedal stays down 1/3 to 1/2 the way. Almost always it's the 2nd to 3rd shift. I thought the power of the motor (twin turbo) was too much for the clutch although I never smelled it or had it slip. It's an '02 Zo6 clutch & slave.

I had this problem with my '99 Trans Am before GM would acknowledge that their clutch setup sucks. The dealer couldn't duplicate it. I told him to tell the service guy to get on it and shift at 6000 RPM. They refused to "abuse" my car. I said, "OK, have a tech ready, I'll be there in 20 minutes." I got to the dealer and took the tech to a back road, stopped, ran it up to 4000, dumped the clutch, revved her to 6000, went to shift into 2nd, and the clutch stuck to the floor. The tech said, "No problem, I'll tell my manager that it really is sticking." They installed the, then new, McLeod under warranty.
This was a low 11 sec car. The tech couldn't wipe the grin off his face...LOL
