My 2000 will not start. Gives me a "low Votage" indication. When the key is turned the starter makes a clicking sound-like it doesn't have enough juice to turn. Jumper cables do not help. The battery has a green eye and the power on the inside seems to work. I think it isn't grounded or has a loose connection somewhere. We have had alot of rain and humidity lately. Any thoughts on where to look. I'm going to run the codes right now. HELP!
Believe it or not!! Your due for a new battery. 4 to 5 years and you should replace the battery. In my business it's a code requirement to change out the batteries every 5 years. They aren't designed to go much further. And if you do try to get more out of it the alternator will probably suffer for it. Do yourself a favor and get a new one. Then check for water leaks in the passenger's footwell and check to make sure the battery you have didn't leak and wipe out the computer underneath. Good luck and keep us posted.
