Here is another problem for the "HUD" Pros about 2 days after i had the steering colum lock replaced at the dealer. My fuel.oil.temp display bars stop working then later the speed display was gone the only thing left is the RPM Display. All the instrument cluster which relate to those items is working properly. Is there a possibility that the dealer my have not properly reconnected some of the elect. connections under the dash colum? And is there anything i can do at the house? with out taking back to the dealer.
You may want to check out the owner's manual section on the HUD. For the 2003's, it starts on page 3-17. On page 3-18, it gives the five possible combinations for HUD displays. They are (1) speed only; (2) speed and gage; (3) speed, tach, and gage; (4) speed and tach; (5) tach only. Where "gage" display is indicated, you can choose either the oil pressure, coolant temp, or fuel level.
Is it possible that you have been inadvertently shifting the HUD display, by holding and/or tapping the PAGE button?
I bet it's exactly what you suspect the dealer loosened another connector. Unless you get in there to see there's not much you can do but take it back. Keep us posted.

The HUD is connected to the instrument cluster by a white plastic plug located at the upper center of the rear of the cluster. There is no locking tab used to secure it so if they remove the instrument cluster the connector may have come loose.
