Is there anything wrong with a person not wanting to mod her Vette? I want to keep her the same, just for cruisin and car shows! I think it is fun just the way it is! I know you cannot drag race a convertible!

No - there's nothing wrong with not modding your car - but after time, you'll see something in a catalog or read about it here and say...

"I gotta have it!" :*****

You'll see, give it some time!

My big mods to date??.............a K&N air filter and an oil change!
That's all I'm doing to her. My baby is already capable of higher speeds than what I want to drive. I'm into touring, not racing.
I just completed a 4,260 road trip and had a blast.....without going over 80mph too!!

Just enjoy your car, no matter what you do with it.

As a matter of fact you can! NHRA dropped the time requirement for a roll bar on convertibles to 11.49 or something.

I don't see anything wrong. I've had mine three years and the only mod is stainless exhaust tips. Besides, it's a real blast to drive just the way it is!

Nothing at all wrong not moding your vette....in fact, your probably better off. You'll save tons of money and not have to worry about effecting driveability of the car after an engine or suspension mod..... Yes, that makes it sound a little crazy to even mod at all....but its so much fun!!!

Enjoy!

Nothing wrong with it. I wasn't going to mod mine but the CAGS was driving me crazy so I fixed that. Then the OEM floormats looked bad - fixed that. Then the tiny black exhaust tips looked bad - fixed that. Then I saw the flush mount tail light kit and thought the way the lights looked originally looked bad - fixed that. Then I didn't want my column to lock - fixed that. Then I didn't like the sloppy feel of the shifter - fixed that. Etc., etc., etc.
