I gots a notepad, pen and flashlite,,,,,plus the previous owner had stuck a condom (new) in there just in case....
Your lucky... my condom was used The good news was I got a flashlight so I could see that it was used.. funny my last corvette had a used Ham sandwitch and a devil dog under the jack... both these car were new from the factory too...
When I checked, I found that the batteries were corroded. It was a real pain in the a$$ to get the old ones out - had to use a drill and then a long sharp tool to clean out the remaining pieces of the batteries.
I do check them every 2 or 3 months and the previous time I checked they were OK.
Thanks for the reminder. I will start checking them once a month.
I was looking up something in my owners manual and decided to check the flashlight that came with it. I was surprised to find that the batteries had leaked and corroded the inside of it. Since I was going to use this flashlight if needed at night, I would have been SOL. I cleaned the inside and installed new batteries. Plus I put another light in one of the wells in back. Not a hugh tech tip but I thought it might save someone else a problem.
First no Video, now a flashlight! What elese am I missing?
My '03 that I bought used had a flashlight & a pen in the glove compartment when I bought the car. Left it at the dealership over night so they could do some detailing and when I picked it up the next day, they were both missing!!! They never did replace it. I don't have that car anymore though. I traded it in on a new 04 CE. Unfortunately, it didn't come with a flashlight or a pen!
Mine is a stock one - and I'm not happy with it.
It doesn't look as nice as I'd like and I KNOW it can perform better.
So, time to pull out the catalogs and see what mods are available for it.
I'll post pictures!
Just a hint, but in any flashlight with two batteries, just put one battery in upside down during storage, then when you need it just flip the battery right side up and it will work. Batteries will last for years like this and will not leak.
