Hood light not working?

I believe that during a time frame with earlier models, 97'-99' and maybe 00'. The earlier housings, like in my 99', takes the 561 'rigid loop' bulb and later models take the regular #561 bulb. My guess is you have the wrong bulb !! 
Go to flea-bay and type in, 561 'rigid loop' bulb and you'll see the different variations of the 561 bulb. Good luck !

If you post a pic of your housing, I am sure we can get the correct bulb issue resolved.P.S. The #561 bulb also comes in different lengths,i.e., 36mm, 39mm, 42mm, etc.

My hood light was disconnected when I bought mine and thought perhaps there had been a power drain and was intentionally left off. I suspected this could happen if it became stuck on when the hood was closed. Figured it probably didn't provide much useful illumination anyway. However I do like everything working on my car so will live on the edge and hook it back up.
