Default Rustoleum on calipers?

How does the rustoleum hold up on the calipers?Do you have to primer them first or just clean them with a paint thinner? Thanks in advance

I used Rustoleum on my 73 Vette's calipers. It is holding up fine.

I would recommend spraying a primer first, helps the paint stick better.

Should hold up OK if you prep the calipers well - that is, get them really clean.

I used rustoleum as well (on two C5's). Works fine. I just cleaned with denatured alcohol first. I hand painted the letters, but you can also just sand the paint off if you want a silver metal finish.

Sorry, should have done a search before I asked the question--I'll find the answer by searching.

What white letters. You don't have to remove the calipers. Clean them with alcohol, spray paint into small cup and brush it on with a small artist brush. You can paint over the lettering , give the paint about 24 hours to completely dry. The paint will be easily removed with a razor blade or pockey knife. No need to completely do 100% of the calipers, only 70% is visable. GARY

Also, no need to buy a quart like I did. A 8oz. can will be plenty. While your'e at it, buy a can of black too to paint the brackets. I used brake parts cleaner to clean the calipers. Clean 'em twice just to be sure.
