Pricing on 04's is really great, last year on a 03 you would have been real lucky to get 2 or 3 thousand off but I realy wanted the 50th year Vette and most dealers took advantage of that. One dealer walked away over 2 hundred dollars.

I think Mag red is getting hard to find. Might not be able to do as good as what others are saying. It's a supply and demand thing. Now if you wanted, say black. Then $13000 off is a sure thing. Good luck! Hope you get the one you want

You're not going to get as good of a price on a Mag Red right now, as you will Blue/Black/Silver, because that color has been out of production for so long. (I think they stopped taking orders for Mag Red almost 3 months ago.) If you got $7500 off of MSRP, then you got a super deal, and probably within a few hundred of dealer invoice. I'm guessing anything within $1500 of invoice on Mag Red would be a pretty fair deal right now.

So, what did you pay, what was MSRP, and where did you buy it? It's easier to give you an opinion based on real numbers.

gresch, its true! Actually he felt compelled to come out to tell me my family had two "firsts" at his dealership, the first to get a vette at invoice, and the first to own a ZR1 - he remembered my dad when he bought one back in the day. I suppose I also got the last z06 2004 the dealership will see!

Got the car today 55810 msrp 47000 net . Dealer just west of NYC. I'm
West of Phila.. Kerbeck didn't have any Mag red and didn't want to arrange a trade. A couple of dealers arouns here tried to come up with the car but other dealers didn't want to trade Mag Red Vert. Feel good about the buy. Can't wait to pick it up. Rich

The "pickin's" were definitely slim.

I think you did pretty well to get $7810 (plus your $1000 GM Card money) off of a Mag Red Convertible, this late in the season. Good deal! You'll love it!

Default '04 Purchase Price

Bought a new one in February...at that time they came off of the price $10K immediately and 0%....I didn't think that you could beat that, but I'm hearing $12K+ is not impossible with the new models coming out.

Good job on the price---there's no better time to buy a C5 then right now.

You guys have to remember that the discounts no longer apply across the entire Corvette line. Colors make a huge difference in discounts now. Blue/Black/Silver will get the best discounts, because they were produced until the end. The exception is if a dealer just wanted to roll a unit off of their floorplan so they don't have to pay interest on a $50k car sitting on their lot.

But, initial C6 deliveries have been widely pre-sold. The dealers who move a lot of Corvettes know that they can make more money off of their remaining C5's since they probably have deposits on months worth of C6 allocation. It's a funny game.
