Default Picking Up C5 Next Week !!

I have been reading here daily for the last month or so and catching up on C5 info as my last Corvette was a '93. I am picking up a 2000 TR FRC next week. The car has 13K miles and I am paying ~$26,000. I get to fly in and drive home, about 1200 miles. This will give me an opportunity to get to know my new Vette very well. My first order of busines will be to install the CLB and a CAGS eliminator. I read a post recently detailing what needed to be checked out on a used car such as cleaning AC drain and a whole list of other items. If someone could please re-post this info I would greatly appreciate it. I will print this time. Once the required maintenance is out of the way my mod list, so far, is a set of chrome Z06 rims, intake (haven't decided which yet), exhaust (probably bullets), Z06 front screens, and a replacement shifter. I have been considering one of the sticky stripe sets, what color would you suggest for a TR HT.

Sorry I started to ramble but the excitement is starting to build as I get closer to the big day. Thanks for your input.

Congrats on your new ride. I bought my 03 coupe MN6 8 months ago. Had a dealer do a service, LOF and I checked everything else myself. Just ordered my first mod: GHL Bullets w/4" round tips (LAPD) Magnaflow X-Pipe (Corvette Garage, best price) Blackwing air intake. This was the agonizing part. After researching Vararam, Halltech, and every other wonder drug, I determined that all the HP claims are hype. Dyno pulls show minimal gains, but responsiveness is better and times a little different. I can't find any complaints about the Blackwing, except Donaldson is not making them anymore, but its permanent filter and cleanable. I will also drill holes in the fog grills to free up some air flow and then probably get the throttle body polished and a LS1 edit. Happy researching. Enjoy the ride... You will never regret it.

P.S. Have the cags, but there is some controversy about the CLB, check it out.

Congrats
I just got mine a month ago and have spent 3/4 time working out of state. I did get to drive 3 whole times.

Enjoy your ride.

Congrats on the new car. As far as the stripe kit, I would recommend black with silver accents.

Default Congrats !

Congrats on the TR FRC Sounds like a great low mile C5 Should look great with the chrome Z06 wheels
If you decide on the stripes, I would go with black stripes on a red FRC especially since it has a black interior. Otherwise the TR FRC looks great without them too.

Congrats on your FRC, and welcome to the Forum!

Regarding the stripe kit on TR paint, I would do the wide stripes in silver and the thin border in black or carbon fiber. The wide stripes in black with silver border would look good too.

call your local dealer regarding the steering lock recall...
