I've heard some good feedback on the MSW and the Hardbar. I like the way the stock shifter looks, but wouldn't mind something smaller (not so big around) and something that will quiet the Hurst.
Any suggestions on top of the two I mentioned? Prices? Where to buy for a "good" price?
This is the website where I purchased my shift ball... You need to go to interior trim and scroll down to shift *****. There are 2 for the Vettes, I have the Black Z06 one.
American Allstar I think they're called, do NASCAR ***** (one in metallic blue) or there are Hurst black and white shifter ***** and one company who do billiard ball ***** but I pulled them all out of a Google search.
Trouble with billet (which I have on my Z28 auto) is how darned cold it is in the winter and how hot it can get in the summer. Personally, I'd go for something warmer.

MSW? If you mean MGW then yes they are great and very solid with a nice rubber grip to them. I had the Delrin **** and loved the look but couldn't stand the hollow cheap feel as I changed gears. Plus it amplified my Hurst rattle, the MGW **** eliminated it.
But many years ago as a teenager, I used to put a towel over my shifter to prevent the **** from heating up, it worked pretty good. Those old Hurst solid billet T-handles could get skillet hot in a 68 Firebird.

Go to Sears and buy a $6.99 cue ball, take it to a machine shop and have a 1/2" hole drilled into it and tapped 9/16" x 18 tpi, that will cost you about $6.
Weedo,
Have you looked at the C5R style *****??? the are made out of delrin so they stay cool and look awesome, I've seen them as high as $59.99....go to http://www.xmsengineering.com/interior/
I second the MGW Pistol Grip. It fits so well in your hand and makes shifting the stock shifter feel more positive. George makes some quality products. I wish he would make more for the Vette. I previously owned an 01 Cobra and had a number of their products!

Thanks for all the help! I 3rd the MGW Pistol, just ordered it in the grey to match the Z06 rims!!
I just ordered the MGW chrome pistol grip. Whats funny is today at my tuners shop, I saw a Z06 with the same shifter and nobody knew what kind it was. Once again, thanks to the forum, I'm spending more money
