Default WCC Billet Side Spears

Anyone have any pics of the WCC Billet Side Spears seen here NOT the BSMs? My search only came up with one result.

Also, how are they attached? Double sided tape?

Thanks,
Mike

Don't have a pic handy, but try searching for BSM or Body Side Molding. They're glued on, but I'm not sure what type of tape.

There are alot of people with strong feelings for or against BSMs... it's one of the running jokes on C5Genera. Whatever you do, don't start a thread asking people if they like BSMs

The BSM's are attached with double sided tape. Are you wanting to purchase? If so, check out C5 Parts, you'll usually find a set.

If you're wanting to remove them, it's easy using a hair dryer to warm up the adhesive, and then using a piece of fishing line to "saw" them off.

Also, I think Ecklers and MAM sells them new as well as the supporting dealers like Fichtner and Fred Beans.

And as 99C5Vert said - don't start a thread asking what everyone thinks....please!

Seems like I read a thread here about those and it seems like they were attached with double sided tape!

Double-sided tape keeps them in place. Like exhausts, you should really see an installed set in person. I liked them in pictures, but when I saw them in person, my opinion changed.

High quality pieces, but they looked wrong, at least on the installation I saw. I think the dude put them on at an uncomplimentary angle that didn't perfectly follow the speed-lines suggested by the cove.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Stu and seeing his car up close at Mike Norris' and during our Tuner Golf outing.

Let me assure you the pictures of his car simply do not do it justice. I mean I own a C5, I'm in a number of Corvette Clubs, I get all the magazines, I've been to the Eckler's reunions with hundreds of Corvettes around and after having seen all of those Corvettes - his car is simply AMAZING. If there is an example of "doing it right" his car is the one for me.

Then it turns out he is a heck of a nice guy on top of all that.

After all that - I'm going back in my hole.

They are held on with two sided tape. I have seen some in person and for me at least, I really don't care for the looks. But, everyone has their own opinion on what looks on the car. I happen to like BSM's, but many don't.

Ya, it is defintely an opinion thing.

What I want to do is make my own using fiberglass or some material and paint them black. Then get a pair of Black BSMs.

I think the two black spears + the black BSMs would make the side of my MY vert very nice looking.

Have to play around with photoshop and see I guess =)

Thanks,
Mike

I like the look, but I think it's color specific - best on silver/grey.
