Moisture from A/C

I just noticed after running the A/C for a while water drips onto the passenger floor mat. I felt around unfer the dash and noticed the foam under the dash was soaked. Is there supposed to be a drain outside of the vehicle, or is this normal ?

Good Catch!!! Left unchecked this will damage your PCM (or BCM???) and leave you with a major repair bill.

Glad you caught it before it did any real damage

Check your drain. I just had this happen to me. It is a total pain in the butt. Shorted out the blower motor, the BCM, all kinds of stuff. Car went crazy. After the money I just spent my new wheels are going to have to wait.

Glad you caught it! Just cleared my drain this weekend. From what I've read, left unchecked this can cause bad problems.

Is it easier to get to the drain from up top or under the car ? Should I take the hose off clean it and re install it or take it off and leave it off ? I also heard something about just cutting the end off ? My stingers are getting installed in an hour, so I will get under it and take a look.

I couldnt reach my drain from the top because of a wiring harness in the way. So I go from the bottom. I think if you got the drain flap off it could be a tough one to get back on. I just pinched the end of it and the water from above rinsed it clean, not sure what was plugging it but I think I will keep an eye on it regularly.
