Had new Kumho MX runflats installed and now one of my tire sensors isn't responding (I just get a blank readout for pressure). This has happened before (although it was all of them that time) and I ended up going to the dealership for a reflash I believe. I searched the forum and found out about the tire sensor relearn procedure. Would this work as long as there isn't anything wrong with the sensor? Thanks for the help.
It's somewhat common for this to happen with aftermarket wheels/tires. One of mine went south shortly after putting my CCW's on but mysteriously started working again the next day. I'ts gone out once or twice since shortly after that but has worked ever since.
Try the relearn first and see if that helps before going back to the installer.

Yes, BUT if one is not reading at all, I think you may have a bad sensor. You will get readings after a tire change even if the sensors were not put back in the same place. The 3 that are showing readings very well may be giving you the wrong readings. ie: What is showing you LR may actually be the RR sensor. The sensors have to be taught their position on the car. IF your LR sensor is now on the RR, then the RR sensor is still reporting pressure info but the computer still thinks its coming from the LR.
Do the relearn on all 4, if one is still blank, it's bad.
I !! You will need a magnetic to do the relearn. Do all four!! If it does not come back to life, it is dead. Have the installer dismount the tire and let you examine the sensor. If it is broken, cracked or bent, make him fix it! If it looks normal, maybe it just went **** up!
I know this sounds crazy, but try running over some railroad tracks. After getting new tires, one of my sensors didn't come on, but when I ran over tracks it came to life. It was then slow to "wake up" for next few days, but it is now fine. These sensors have a "motion sensing switch" in them and sometimes it gets "stuck", especially after installing tires.
Alright, I'll try the relearn procedure first before blanking on my installer. Hey Oldvetter, I'm gonna try that first as I live across the street from some bumpy railroad tracks! I hope that works but the relearn procedure seems easy enough. I'm goin for a spin now since its pretty out and I'll try to post the results tomorrow night. Thanks again guys.

As long as you have good sensors, the retraining process should get you a reading on all four sensors. Just remember that you need to be rolling down the road about 15 mph for the sensors to read correctly.
I was able to start the relearn process fine, programmed the left front (horn honked) went to the right front and got nothing after 3 tries! I had to leave after trying and didnt get a chance to drive it to see if it would read after a 15 mph roll (although Im 99% sure it wont). For the magnet, I used a pick-up tool with a 2-lb pickup. I was afraid it wouldn't be enough but it worked. Im taking it back to the installer to have it looked at. I know the guys there so hopefully they won't try to stiff me.
