hmmm...your username suggests you have, or did have, a forced-induction car. if that's the case, surely you have a basic understanding of air in an engine?
I can't wait to see what my car will do OCt here in NC. Hey Dr Ron I saw your stock 11 run post Wow! It is a bit sad as I dont think I drive that bad but my ETs and speed do not show it.

hi temps affect hp ,but would it affect it by 40 rwhp?
Where did 40 come from? Corrected hp it would easily affect 10-15hp. What you actually feel can be way more depending on the barometric pressure...it is similar to gaining altitude. Then you could have a 40hp difference.
Yup, I have found my Z06 to be very affected by climate, especially heaat and humidity. I wouldn't doubt it to be 40 or more horse difference. It is very noticeable seat of the pants. Absolutely screams when cool and dry fighting for traction and hitting the rev limiter real quick in the low gears. My first couple of drives on hot humid days I thought there was a problem, it felt that piggish and couldn't spin the tires. That much seat of the pants difference has got to be more than 10hp loss.
