Column Lock Message
About a month ago a message regarding column lock service was displayed. Is this an indicator that i will have a problem ? Has anyone experienced this before their columns locked up ? Is anyone going to ignore the recall ? I here alot of talk about a " band aid fix " Thanks Dawn

Dawn..there are several threads on this topic now...scroll down...also go to the "C5 General" section and see the sticky post at the top of the page...its like 195 posts long now. Bottom line....get a CLB and install it.

Dawn I have been reading all these nite mares about the CLB problems our fellow vette owners are having. I have a 04 CE Zo6/Z16. I don't know if I'm prone for this problem do to this body style is in it's seventh years. I would hope that GM had the common sense to fix a real safty glich they have with this CL. What year is your C-5? There is alot of good info in this forum about this issue and what individuals have done to cure this problem. I have no exsperience with this CLB, but if yoy ask around this forum you will get plenty of assistiance. Looks like I would look into get the CLB covered under a TSB from GM through your local dealer that you will trust with your pride and joy. Just my 2 cents, hope it helps.
