Default Bullets vs Stingers

I am just about ready to pull my Bullets off of my Z06 and replace them with the Stingers. I can't stand the loud noise anymore especially with the fact that I am drawing too much attention with the police. My question is, will the Stingers tame some of this noise, especially when not at WOT? I am kicking myself for selling my Ti. My noise level did got up with the LG's and Random cats.

From what I have heard and read, the Corsa's are probably your best option for reducing cruising speed exhaust noise. I have a friend who is slightly hard of hearing, and the resonance in his Borla Stingers annoys him from time to time.

Stingers are not going to help you out here. You will have to go to something like B&B PRT's or the corsa system. Ti's would work too though.

If you don't want loud, why wouldn't you keep the stock Ti's? They sound great.

I have stingers and my buddy has bullets, both are pretty loud. If you add LG long tubes they will get very loud. Find another set of Ti's. Probably can trade someone for your Bullets.....

I would think if you're looking for quieter you'd go with the Z06 exhaust! Stingers rule but they won't be any quieter!

From everything I have heard, Stingers are LOUDER than Bullets, so you are not going to quiet things down with this change.

I beg to differ. I and a friend both have Z06's. I have Stinger's and he has Bullets. Bullets are louder - inside and outside. Idle and WOT. Now Bullets on an LS1 are about the same as my Stingers.

BUT, going from Bullets to Stingers is not a significant change.

Go to a show (Effingham in September?) and listen!

TomsZ06,

Which Bullet system are you referring to? GHL Bullets or B&B Bullets. If you have the B&B Bullets and feel that you will be better off with Stingers, think again.

Try the GHL Bullets and that will be the LAST system you ever have on your Z. Trust me on this.

Lets get some video clips of some Bullet and Stinger Exhaust! I have heard Stingers before but not too many Bullets. If somebody can host some video clips that be great.

I just had my new GHL Bullets installed last month. They are far better than I ever imagined. They have a low rumble at idle, and are loud when you really get on it. Just cruising around on the highway, you never notice them, no resenance. My friend has Borla Stingers and his sound good, But if I had to do it all over again, I'd pick GHL Bullets.

Tom, I have the LGM long tubes with high flow cats as well as Stingers. I can assure you this set up is loud. The resonance at cruising speeds is deafening. I have never heard the Bullets so I can't compare the sound of the two at wot. I also need to find a softer sounding system to work with my LGM's as my better half is issuing ultimatums...
