I'm with most of the rest of you. I don't intend to detail it as much as I do, but once I start something, then I see another mark, then maybe I should claybar off those two "tiny" bug spots, then the glass is fogging up inside, then there is dust on the dash, ahhhhhhhhhh!!!! will the madness ever stop. One thing is for sure. I don't do the new torch red near as much as the old black 97. I love that black color, but man, what a pain. Long live torch red

I started out washing every three days, detailing every two weeks and once or twice a day spraying and wiping with new car shine I got from a dealer (I'm not OCD am I?). Well my brother has a friend who owns a detailing business and when I told him what a freak I was about having the vette clean, he almost fell over. He proceeded to to tell me that the more you wipe the paint, the more you wear it out. He said NEVER to spray and wipe in between washes or EVER use a duster, to only wax every three months using a good quality wax and wash at most once a week using two different wash mitts out of two 5 gallon buckets, one for the wheels and one for the tires, wheels and wells. He said only dry with american made 100% cotton towels using the two towel method (squeegee with one and finish with one). Wash, dry and wax only in the direction that the paint was applied, not in circles! He also told me that if I ever got bird droppings on the paint, grab some paper towels and get them real wet and just place them on the stain don't wipe, let the water do the work. Cars he does look showroom clean so I know he knows what he's talking about. Well I've done this for for about three months and the car car looks great after washes, no more spider scratches although it's still very hard for me to see my baby with any dust. I guess it's a 12 step kick!

My hubby and I clean mine whenever there is a speck of dirt on it! We use Quick Detailer by Macquires! It works pretty well!

Mine gets a pretty good deatiling every Monday night and them occasionally other nights leading up to the weekend (like Thursday's).

The Monday night thing is almost every week. A good cleaning after a weekends worth of driving then the detailing.

My neighbors love it. They just say I'm a normal car nut.

Yup. I feel all of your pain. My schedule:

1. Wake up, shower, etc.
2. Go outside, smoke cig, and walk around the car reviewing what needs to be touched up.
3. Go back in, get some work done (I work at home)
4. Lunch, go outside, and hit the car with detail spray and glass cleaner. I throw in some tire dressing and wheel cleaner if necessary.

If I drive that day then you can add cleaning the nose, front windshield, wheel wells, rims, and rocker panels to this list. Every couple days I'll hit the interior with the duster, then once a week with conditioner.

This is just the daily schedule. She gets a "full" detail inside and out once a week.

Obsessed? Maybe. Happy? Of course!

In most cases, wash every weekend, wax every second weekend, Zaino's, and detail spray it every 3rd day too include the rims and tires. With that, I wipe it down every evening, drives my neigbors

My feelings exactly, and it's even therapeutic for my shoulder problems. A Vette, a garage, a cold bear, a good cigar, and a dog, what else could a guy want...

It's raining here alot in the Toronto area so I am cleaning 2-3 times a week, full clean in and out,I can't drive a dirty car someone might see me

I would rather drive and clean the vert then just drive and leave the mini van.I hate mini vans but we get 3 kids every other weekend so
he drives van and follows me in vert.

I have made myself a promise and I am sticking to it. I only clean my car on two occasions:

1. When I'm alone.

2. When I'm with somebody!
