A friend I work with has an 04 ZO6 and when returning from the grocery, found that a gallon of milk had leaked from its container into one of his rear storage wells. Anyone know of a way to get rid of the odor? Thanks, Sleeper

 

Probably with vinegar and water, or maybe it's baking soda and water, oh damn, where's my wife when I need her.

 

It's really not a big deal to pull the carpeting from the rear section - takes just a few minutes. I'd definitely do that first to assess how extensive the spill was. Then I set about eliminating any milk from the carpet and insulation pieces that were involved. And, believe it or not, GM has answer for that part too . . .

Eliminating Unwanted Odors in Vehicles

How to Use this Product
Spray GM Vehicle Care Odor Eliminator directly or as an additive with carpet shampoo in steam cleaners.
Do not use on any interior surface that plain water would deteriorate, because this product will have the same effect. Also avoid letting this product come into contact with vinegar or any acidic substance. Acid-based products will hamper the effectiveness of GM Vehicle Care Odor Eliminator.
