Default Leather Console Cover

I have a Torch Red on black C5 and I was thinking about adding a leather cover to my console, especially since my console has a small flaw on it. I was leaning towards the mod red cover from West Coast Corvettes. Do you think the mod red cover would look good with the rest of the car's interior stock? Maybe I should also get some red leather door handle covers to compliment it. Opinions

It would look fine but you can replace the shift boot and the e-brake boot cheaper than the door handles.

Go for it! Then do the boots and handles. It will make a great color combo.

Absolutely the the mod red cover and red door handles would look great with the rest of the car's interior.

Consider www.vetteessentials.com . Ken is great, and the quality is outstanding! I have the console cover, shift & brake boot.

The mod red theme would look great. I do agree though that if you can afford it, go with the Vette Essentials products. They are the best, IMO.

How much will the console cover cost from Corvette Essentials? Whats the site too.

The console from WCC is $89, and the door handles are $20 for both.

The quality from WC does not even come close to what you will find at VE. If you are going to take the time and spend the money to upgrade your Corvette, why buy KMart quality when really fine quality is available for just a bit more. JMHO.

I opted for just few splashes of red. I went with VE products. A bit pricey but the look and quality are above all else.

Tom

PS: Here's VE's url - http://www.vetteessentials.com/ I got lucky and bought a fellow CF buddies brand new consol lid for $125 as he was selling his Z. I believe they sell for around $250 plus your core (consol lid).

dang that looks good!

I have the VE interior also-the leather is UNBELIEVABLE, very rich and I like the custom stitching and leather options they offer

I agree with the guys here-if you go with the center console and shift boot you will notice it a lot more than the handles, get them later

I've also have torch red on black. I did the door hands in red and put the MidAmerica Mod red console cover on.. a little disappointed with the color match. With Carlisle coming up, I'm sure I'll be buying more 'stuff'.

No offense to the vendors, but the c*&p from MidAmerica and WCC makes the car look junky. If you're going to do it, do it right and get it from VE or Caravaggio. Is it more expensive? Sure it is, but you're not modding a honda civic.

I have the mid America interior, door handles, console cover, shift boot, e brake boot, seat skins, and active handling accent... the console cover is thickly padded and is perfect fit for my short shifter.. is allows my wrist to be in a neutral position...This leather is thicker and softer than the oem stuff.. Ken kings stuff is the best stuff on the planet.. but some of us just can't afford 3000 dollars. I'M retired and live on a fixed income and I am too young to collect social security.. MY stock black interior was boring.. I would have loved to buy Ken's interior products,, but making choices came down to Mid america for about 1000 dollars , or Ken's stuff for 3000 dollars.. The Mid America Products are better than OEM but not as nice as Ken's.. So I made the choice to upgrade my oem interior.. and I am very happy with it.. considering some people are happy paying 300 dollars for Wet Okolies..
here is an example of the leather thickness and the embriodery work.

I have a little more red than what you have in mind but my console cover and door pulls are similar to what you're thinking about...from Vette Essentials
