I went out and snotted my 'oo mil yellow six speed tonight.
I did kind of a hole shot around a corner. The first time I did it
I thought that my car had a fuel delivery problem because it kind of just fell on it's face. Later on, I took out my brother in law and did the same thing and the same thing happened, but he said that the active handling icon lit up. So then I turned it off and the result was was that which I didn't expect; the car was ready to do anything that I wanted and I was able to fishtail through a burn out. Is that what active handling does? It felt like the car was starving for gas with active handling, but turned of she would accept what I could give.
Anyway gimme some input on this please so that next I can beat the snot out of her and tear off some of that useless rubber on the back tires.

You need to be very careful out there on the streets with the A/H off. Some here have learned this the hard way. Might be better to try the Competitive Driving mode instead and save the "A/H Off" for the track. The Competitive Driving mode turns the T/C off but leaves the A/H on.

It depends on the model year of your car and whether you have 1st or 2nd generation A/H. For cars through model year 2000 (I think) with 1st generation A/H, the car must be stationary with engine running. Push and hold the A/H button until "COMP DRIVING" appears in the DIC. For 2nd generation A/H, the competitive driving mode can be selected while the car is moving by pushing and holding the A/H button for more than 5 seconds. Again, the competitive driving mode turns the T/C off but leaves the A/H on. You may want to review your Owner's Manual for complete details on the system.

In your case you may need to be stopped to get into Competitive driving mode. With my '01 I can be stopped or moving to do this. To get into Competitive driving mode I would stop the car and once stopped press your A/H button and hold it for 5 seconds. After 5 second you should be in Comptiitive driving mode and this should be displayed in th DIC.
same thing used to happen in my 01 yellow vert...then i figured out the comp thing too...its amazing...but i never get on it anymore..not worth it i just leave trac on...ive learned from my mistakes
